Working with Corporate Recruiters: a 3rd Party Recruiter's Perspective

By Charles J. Lynch, Vice President of FPC Nashua, Inc.

The placements I made that were most successful for both the company and the candidate, and the placement process that was most enjoyable for the representatives on the company side and for me, were always those where I was actively engaged with an effective corporate recruiter. In those situations, we both seemed to live in the same world, we spoke the same language and we both enjoyed full throttle engagement in the hiring process. We both had our eyes on the same goal—bringing to the company the type of person whose skills would make him or her productive immediately and who would be able to contribute to the company’s success over a lengthy career.

Sarah Byrrd

"We're engaging our managers in active talent review discussions regarding their teams and empowering them to think about their people in capacities they historically would not have thought about them. They are thinking creatively and giving team members a rotation-type assignment to give them the opportunity to work in other departments to broaden their skill sets and stay engaged, but at the same time move the business forward and support our own succession."
